The activities include:

Pampering days
Armchair exercises
Reading letters/magazines/newspapersActivity
Day trips to the shops, garden centres etc
Movement to music

This is not an exhaustive list as items will be included as requested.

Also a local organist visits every month in addition to the daily activities. We also have a sensory room where residents can enjoy a nice relaxing atmosphere and benefit from one to one chat and therapies.

We have a dedicated member of staff who sets, reviews and arranges the activity programmes for all residents to enjoy.

We also encourage residents to contribute and give suggestions on how to improve the quality of care in the home. These are a mix of one to one discussions with residents, or small group meetings as they prefer, so that they can express their thoughts and ideas. Relatives are also free to discuss any issues with the Care Manager, which may help improve the quality of care provided, and discuss any concerns or wishes they have regarding the care.

The Care Manager has regular staff meetings to ensure that the highest quality of care is provided and that staff can meet the needs of individual residents.
